Training on Financial Facilities for SMEs held in Kiev

Representatives of 31 Business Support Organizations (BSOs) from Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine participated in the third and last training seminar that took place in Kiev on May 24-25.

FIT4SMEs second training in Belgrade

Twenty-six Business Support Organization partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia and more than one hundred Small and Medium Enterprises attended the FIT4SMEs training event in Belgrade on 3-4 April 2012.

The second training will be held in Belgrade (Serbia) on 3-4 April, at the Sava Center and the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.

On 3rd April the event will be opened by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Serbia, Ms. Dragijana Radonjic Petrovic; President of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Milan Jankovic; the Head of the Commercial and Financial Office of Italian Embassy in Serbia, Mr. Paolo Toschi; the Alternate Secretary General of the CEI, MrGiorgio Rosso Cicogna and by the representative of Informest, Ms. Sandra Sodini.

At the start the FIT4SMEs Project trainings

The second phase of the FIT4SMEs Project, managed by Informest and co-financed by the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Central European Initiative (CEI) through the Know-How Exchange Programme, started in October 2011, foresees in following weeks a series of training meetings offered to BSOs of the non-EU CEI Member States in the field of financial facilities provided by international financial institutions for small and medium enterprises.

From October 1st 2011 the FIT4SMEs database is reopened.

The interested BSOs from the Project recipient countries in joining can apply and register to participate to the Project second phase. The already registered BSOs can update their listing.
The registration process is open until October 30, 2011.

Second phase of the FIT4SMEs Project

From October 1st 2011 starts the second phase of the FIT4SMEs Project. It is the further step of a 24-months programme developed by Informest and co-financed by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region (Italy) and the Central European Initiative (CEI) through its Know-How Exchange Programme (KEP). The objective is to strengthen skills and improve capacities of participating business support organisations (BSOs) from non-EU CEI member states in the field of financial instruments made available by international financial institutions (IFIs) to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), in order to provide technical assistance to a pilot group of selected SMEs in each recipient country to facilitate their access to international financial schemes for investments.

The paper “Main International Financial Facilities available for SMEs. Project Recipient Country Surveys” has the aim to define a comprehensive framework of the main international financial instruments offered to national SMEs operating in East European transition country markets.

FIT4SMEs Project: training opportunities for BSOs in nine East European countries

The Project "Financial facilities for SMEs: training and capacity building for Business Support Organisations in non-EU member states of the Central European Initiative - FIT4SMEs" has started at the beginning of February 2011, aiming at training staff of selected business intermediary organisations in the area of SMEs-dedicated financial instruments made available by international financial institutions (IFIs) such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the World Bank Group, or the European Investment Bank (EIB). The Project is implemented by INFORMEST, Development Agency for Economic Cooperation based in Gorizia (Italy), and financed by the Central European Initiative (CEI) through its Know Exchange Programme (KEP) and by the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy).
